I recently saw the Uri Caine Trio at a small bar named Rex's in Toronto, ON. Awesome, awesome, awesome. These are my drawings from that night of Uri Caine, Ben Perowsky, and John Hébert and Uri was gracious enough to sign my illustration.

This is a drawing I completed after a gluttonous Memorial Day weekend. What does shoveling hamburgers, chips, and dip have to do with remembering those who served? I'll never know. Maybe that is the freedom we're fighting for.

This was a sketch using a Papermate ball point pen. I haven't drawn with them in years but I love working with them. They give a nice variety of line and sometimes clot at the point, allowing for more textures.

The Philly Turkey was a fun and wonderful project that I was extremely happy to be a part of. If mythology is right, then maybe the turkey, after perishing in an apocalyptic fire, will rise again from it's ashes. Until then, I will continue to post new Mudgesnotch strips every Tuesday.

Being a news junkie, I've been working on a series of caricatures of the 24 hour media corps. Here are the first couple drawings of Keith Olbermann & Sean Hannity. I find that the best way to draw a caricature of a TV personality, is to watch the show and not to rely upon still images.
